A joke is a mini short story. That makes jokes a great thing to share in a speech, a blog post, an article, a Medium story. Jokes are short stories that actually touch upon the good, the bad, and the in-between of human life.

I’m not sure that humour has much to do with good taste. Humour, jokes, quips — they often come without any good taste. And…

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?

If you’re smarter than a 5th grader, you realize that the radical Left is trying to brainwash the world into believing January 6th was similar to 9/11 or Pearl Harbor. Absurd. Just a sloppy attempt to justify censoring, surveilling & treating half our country like terrorists. — Candace Owens, founder of BLEXIT, tweet

Are the Democrats Truly for Unity?

The Democrats are showing that they never meant it when they called for unity. They are prioritizing a divisive post-presidency impeachment while trying to jam a hyper-partisan far-left wish list through Congress as Biden…

Book Illustrations | Illustrator for Books | Making Money

How do I start making money as an illustrator for books?

Question

I am an elementary teacher in North Carolina. I recently watched a former teacher friend on Facebook doing a live broadcast about having a side gig and doing something that you love and are passionate about.

It has been a dream of mine for a very long time and there is no time like the present for me to go after this goal of mine. I reached out to my former teacher friend, and she passed your information off to me.

We all get the exact same 365 days. The only difference is what we do them. — Hillary DePiano, playwright

I saw the above quote in a magazine I read today. I love the quote, because it’s such a great reminder for the new year. We all have the same amount of time. It’s just a matter of how well we use our time.

But once I read that quote, I realized that I had something additional to say about using time and doing something.

When you get around to doing something, do it with joy and kindness.

In marketing your books, don’t worry about the way things have been done in the past.

Don’t worry about the rules. Don’t worry about the obstacles. Don’t worry about the naysayers.
